Man hospitalised after serious crash in Poole

A man in his 60s has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Poole.

Emergency services were called to Constitution Hill Road on Friday night - near to the junction with Jellicoe Close.

The collision involved a grey Nissan Qashqai and a pedestrian.

In a statement, police said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a road traffic collision in Poole.

"Dorset Police received a report at 9.51pm on Friday 1 August 2025 of a collision in Constitution Hill Road, near to the junction with Jellicoe Close, involving a grey Nissan Qashqai and a pedestrian.

"Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a man aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening."

Police Constable Dan Yates, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.

“I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or any motorists who were in the area and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
