Man arrested in connection with Crossways robbery

A man's been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery and attempted robberies in Crossways.
It follows reports of a man in a white Mercedes stopping to assist two men in a car near the Woodsford level crossing on Lewell Road, on the event of Friday 14th February.
The vehicle appeared to have broken down or been involved in a collision.
The two men then removed the victim from the Mercedes and attempted to drive away, before crashing into a barrier at the level crossing.
The pair then attempted to stop other vehicles and made threats to drivers, before leaving the area on foot.
Now, a 33 year old man of no fixed abode has been questioned by police on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, assault, making threats to kill and driving offences.
He is currently in custody.
Detectives are also continuing their appeal for information about the incident.
