World famous graffiti artist heads to Dorchester later this month

Yuvi's work is described as 'vibrant', 'dazzling' and 'animated'

An internationally renowned graffiti artist is set to showcase his work at the Halo Fine Art Gallery in Dorchester later this month.

Yuvi, an Israeli graffiti artist, has had exhibitions all over the world including in Dubai, Hong Kong, Milan, the US, and now the UK.

He will continue to show work from his “Urban Pop Art’ tour which feature unique collages of popular imagery and iconography to form his innovative work.

His pieces are inspired by pop culture as he grew up engrossed by music and culture. Paige House, the gallery manager at Halo Fine Art, said:

"Guests will love Yuvi’s vibrant, animated style of pop art graffiti.

“His work is rich in social and cultural commentary, combining traditional techniques with digital technology and pop culture references to dazzling effect.”

Brewery Square centre manager, Tara Bailey added:

“It's fantastic to see Halo Fine Art continue to attract such incredible talent to Brewery Square.

“These events help bring the gallery’s eclectic selection of artwork to life, as visitors can meet the talent and better understand their inspiration behind these unique pieces.”

In his hometown of Tel-Aviv graffiti was common and often used as a form of political expression.

Paige House noted:

“Our event is sure to spark some intriguing insights and captivate attendees, while giving them the opportunity to acquire a sought-after piece of artwork from one of our most exciting artists.”

The exhibition will take place on Sunday, February 26 between 1 and 3 PM at Halo Fine Art located in Brewery Square.
