Five men due in court after Custom House Quay fight

Four men in their 20s were attacked there last April.

Five men are due to appear in court in connection with a reported public order incident in Weymouth.

At around 7.45pm on Sunday 4 April 2021 Dorset Police received a report of a fight involving a group of people the area of Custom House Quay.

Officers attended and a group of four men aged in their 20s reported they had been assaulted by a larger group. Two of victims were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious.

Following a detailed investigation, five men have now been issued with postal requisitions to appear at court for an offence of violent disorder. Three Weymouth men – aged 19, 22 and 24 – are due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 2 March 2022 alongside a 21-year-old man from the Dorchester area and a 23-year-old man from Bournemouth.
