Delivery driver has van stolen in Poole
A man and a woman are believed to have been involved
A delivery driver's had her van stolen, while working in Poole.
The victim was in Ringwood Road, near the junction with St George's Avenue, at around 3.45pm on Saturday 11th May, when a man and woman approached her vehicle when she was making a delivery.
The man got into the white Ford Transit and tried to drive away.
The van stalled a short distance away and the victim tried to get into the passenger door, but the man drove off again, throwing her from the vehicle.
The woman with him left the scene on foot.
Police later found the van near the Bearwood Community Centre in King John Avenue, with the victim's handbag taken from inside.
The male offender's described as:
- Slim build
- Short brown messy hair
- Wearing denim shorts or jeans
- Grey T-shirt
The woman who was with him is described as:
- Around five feet four inches tall
- Slim build
- Wearing a two-piece outfit with a crop top and light trousers with a white and pink pattern
PC Alice Beavon, of Poole police, said:
“Fortunately the victim did not sustain any serious injuries during this incident but it was understandably very distressing for her.
“We are conducting a number of enquiries as we try and identify the individuals involved and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.
“I would also urge any motorists who were travelling in the area of Ringwood Road in Poole on the afternoon of Saturday 11 May 2024 to please review any available dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might be relevant to our investigation.”
