CCTV appeal to trace man following serious Weymouth assault

Three teenagers have previously been arrested in connection

Police in Weymouth investigating a serious assault on two men have shared a CCTV image of a man they want to trace.

Two victims, in their 20s, were involved in a fight with a group of up to eight people in Westham Road at around 4.00am on Sunday 27th October.

One of the men suffered a fractured jaw, while the other sustained a cut lip, laceration on his ear and swelling to his forehead.

A previous CCTV appeal led to three 19 year old men from Weymouth being arrested on suspicion of GBH and assault occasioning ABH.

They've been released under investigation.

Detective Constable Megan Matthews, of Dorset County CID, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this matter and I am issuing a CCTV image of a man we are still looking to identify in connection with the incident.

“I would ask anyone with information regarding his identity to please come forward.”
