Boscombe incident: Four people now charged with attempted murder

A 16-year-old boy is due to appear in court today

Three more people have been charged in connection with an incident in Bournemouth that left two men with stab wounds, and a third man with injuries.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident, which occurred at around 8.55pm on Monday 29 January in Christchurch Road in the Boscombe precinct.

It was reported that two men – aged in their 20s and 30s from Bournemouth and Poole – sustained stab wounds and were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not life-threatening.

It was further reported that a third man, aged in his 40s, sustained injuries during the incident that are not life-threatening.

A 21-year-old man from Bournemouth was previously charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday (2 February). He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 7 March.

Two other men, aged 20 and 25, both from Bournemouth, who were subsequently arrested have also now been charged with attempted murder and appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (3 February). They are also next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 7 March 2024.

A 16-year-old boy who was arrested in connection with the incident has also been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 5 February).

A 22-year-old Bournemouth man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and another 22-year-old man from Bournemouth arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent have both been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

In the latest development in the investigation, a 45-year-old man from Bournemouth has also now been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit attempted murder.
