There's an asbestos warning amid a blaze which is reported to have been causing 'considerable smoke' in Shapwick.

Residents are being urged to keep doors and windows closed.

A statement shared on the local social media page of Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said in the early hours (2/8): "We are currently dealing with a fire near Park Lane, Shapwick causing considerable smoke in the surrounding areas.

"Please be aware that the smoke can be seen in areas of Sturminster Marshall and the Corfe Mullen area.

"Local residents are advised to please keep windows and doors closed due to the potential of asbesto-based materials from the building involved."
