Appeal after fail-to-stop crash on Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth

A local woman in her 20s suffered a serious injury to her knee

A witness appeal has been launched by Dorset Police after a fail-to-stop crash in Bournemouth.

Officers say the incident happened between 12.15am and 12.20am on Saturday 9 August 2025 on the railway bridge in Holdenhurst Road involving a motorbike and a pedestrian.

It is reported that the motorbike failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian – a local woman aged in her 20s – sustained a serious injury to her knee.

Police Constable India Russell, of Bournemouth police, said: “The victim has sustained a serious injury and we are determined to identify the rider of the motorbike.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened – or may have relevant dashcam footage – to please get in touch.”
