Wolverhampton shooting was 'targeted attack', say police

Police investigating the death of a man who was shot in Wolverhampton yesterday believe it was a targeted attack.

The man in his 20s died at the scene on Eastfield Grove shortly after 3:20pm yesterday (4 Mar).

West Midlands Police said: "The investigation is at a very early stage but it is believed to be a targeted attack.

"We urge people to avoid the area as road closures remain in place.

"Officers are carrying out high visibility patrols in the area to reassure and support the local community.
