Three arrested after weapons seized in Bordesley Green

Three men have been arrested and weapons have been seized from a shop in Bordesley Green.
Officers from the Bordesley Green neighbourhood Team visited a shop on Coventry Road after they received information that nitrous oxide, weapons and drugs were on the premises.
A search was carried out and two knives, a quantity of nitrous-oxide, 1500 illegal vapes, 2,000 counterfeit cigarettes and cash were seized.
Two men aged 28 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, possession with intent to supply drugs and abstracting electricity illegally.
Another man aged 19 was arrested for immigration offences.
Chief Inspector Sara Beech from Birmingham Police, said: “We are listening and taking action and we will always act on credible information we receive about criminal activity.
“I would encourage anyone who suspects criminal behaviour to get in touch. Protecting the public and making areas in Birmingham a safe place to live, work and visit is at the very heart of what we do.”
