Teenage boy dies after collision in Lichfield
Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses and footage as they investigate Friday's collision
A teenage boy has died following a collision in Lichfield.
Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Ash Grove at around 6:30pm on Friday.
The pedestrian, a teenage boy, sustained serious injuries, and died a short time later.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver of the car, a Nissan Qashqai, was unhurt.
A small cordon was in place as Staffordshire Police conducted initial investigations.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of it to get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident 544 of 31 May.
