A man has been arrested after a woman in her 60s was pushed to the ground and robbed in Birmingham.
A man has been arrested after a woman was pushed to the ground and robbed in Birmingham.
The woman in her 60s had her handbag stolen on Soho Road last night (3 July) at around 9pm.
A man was seen running from the scene with the lady's bag.
Members of the public were able to help police identify a suspect and officers arrested a 19-year-old man.
Inspector Claire Jones, from Birmingham Police, said: "I would like to pass on my thanks to the members of the public who flagged down our officers and helped us locate a suspect."
The woman was taken to hospital for her injuries to be assessed but she wasn't seriously hurt.
