People are being urged to have their say on priorities for policing across the West Midlands.

The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner has today (14 July) launched a 3-month consultation, with the results being used to write his Police and Crime Plan.

Simon Foster has said he already has a number of key priority areas - including tackling knife and gun crime, rebuilding community policing, and making roads safer.

People are being asked to fill out an online survey, which takes around 6 minutes to complete.

Police and Crime Commissioner, Simon Foster, said: “To be re-elected by the people of the West Midlands and to serve as your Police and Crime Commissioner for another 4 year term is a real honour.

“Now we have to work together, to make sure West Midlands Police is prioritising what matters most to you and what you want the force to prioritise, to prevent and tackle crime in the region.

“My pledge to you is that I will listen to your feedback and use it to form the basis of my Police and Crime Plan.”

The consultation runs from today (14 July) until 30 September and can be accessed here.
