Police appeal following stabbing in Shard End
Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Shard End, Birmingham.
Police were called to Shard End, Birmingham, after reports of a group of men fighting on Wednesday night.
It happened at around 10:30pm on Kitsland Road, leaving a man with stab wounds to the chest. He got himself to hospital where police say he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Officers are now appealing for information about the disorder and would like to speak to witnesses and those involved.
Detective Sergeant Patrick Fuldun, based at Stechford CID, said: “This was a violent disorder where weapons were used and a man was seriously injured. We would appeal for witnesses or anyone with any information including CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage to please come forward.
“We would like to reassure the community we are doing all we can to find the people involved. We will be having more officers in the area today and over the coming days to offer reassurance. Knife crime is not accepted in our community and offenders identified will be dealt with robustly.”
