More than 100 officers looking for missing Bristol man

Police are searching for a missing man in Bristol who was last seen in the early hours of Friday (Feb 28th).

More than 100 police officers and staff have been involved in searches to find Luis Piovesana who used to work behind a bar in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.

Anyone that lives in the St Werburgh's, St Agnes, Eastville and Fishponds areas and has any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage covering the period from 3am until 7am on Friday 28 February to send it to Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

When was Luis last seen?

His friends last saw him at The Jam Jar in Little Ann Street, St Jude's getting into a taxi just before 3am.

He made a call to 999 at 3.03am which he ended after 34 seconds.

CCTV footage then shows him in multiple locations between 3.15 and 3.30am at Eastgate Retail Park.

His bag, phone and wallet were later found by his friends close to the retail park, using a tracking app. CCTV showed Luis discarded those items.

The last confirmed sighting of him was on foot near the Click and Collect facility at the back of the Tesco Extra car park.

He was then reported missing at 7.37am.

What do police say?

Detectives, police officers and PCSOs have carried out extensive house-to-house enquiries. They have also spoken to the taxi driver that dropped Luis off.

Detective Inspector Pete Walker said: "We remain incredibly concerned for the welfare of Luis and despite extensive and extremely thorough searches have unfortunately yet been able to find him.

"We are extremely grateful for the support of Luis' family and friends and also the search and rescue and helicopter teams who have helped us so far and continue to do so.

"More than 100 officers, detectives and police staff are involved in this investigation and everyone is working tirelessly to find Luis.

“We are releasing CCTV clips showing Luis’ movements in case it jogs anyone’s memory who could have encountered him.

"If you are in the St Werburgh's, St Agnes, Eastville or Fishponds areas of Bristol and have any footage covering the period from 3am until 7am on Friday 28 February, please send it to us," they said.
