A man who threw his girlfriend from a tower block is facing jail.
Jordan Herring was found guilty of wounding last Friday (23 Jan) following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
Herring, from Lark Meadow Drive, Solihull, threw his girlfriend from the fourth floor of Merton House, Chelmsley Wood, on 12 November 2022.
Emergency services were not called to help the 18-year-old victim for an hour, but she was eventually airlifted to hospital with a collapsed lung, fractures to her pelvis and ribs.
Herring claimed the victim jumped out of the window but thankfully, due to the bravery of the woman, our Public Protection Unit were able to support her, and Herring was later arrested and charged.
The 22-year-old was previously convicted of coercive and controlling behaviour towards the same woman.
He will be sentenced in April.
