Man shot dead in Wolverhampton

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in Wolverhampton this afternoon.

They were called to Eastfield Grove just after 3.20pm today.

A man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is at a very early stage, and police are urging people to avoid the area as road closures are in place.

Officers will remain in the area throughout today.
