Man jailed for knife attack in Birmingham

A man has been jailed for eight years after a knife attack in Birmingham, which left his victim fighting for his life.

Reasha Geddes slashed his victim's neck, leaving him with serious injuries in August 24 2024.

The 34-year-old fled the scene after the incident at around 1.25am, when the victim then collapsed.

It happened on Dudley Road near its junction with Bellefield Road.

An ambulance was passing the scene when paramedics stopped and treated the victim. He was then taken to hospital where he was placed in a coma.

Geddes returned home to Rotton Park Road in Edgbaston, at around 1.40am.

The 34-year-old went on to admit grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a blade, and has now been jailed for eight years and 3 months.
