Man charged with the murder of Paramjit Kaur in Oldbury

A man's been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at an address in Oldbury.

46-year-old Paramjit Kaur was found with serious injuries at an address in Swan Crescent at around 8.20am on Monday March 31st. She was confirmed dead at the scene.

Police say their thoughts are with her loved ones at this devastating time.

Paying tribute, her family said: " We were deeply saddened by the heart breaking news of Paramjit Kaur (Soni)’s passing.

“A kind, hardworking and dearly loved daughter, sister, and friend, she brought warmth to everyone around her. Her loss leaves us in profound sorrow, but her memory will forever live in our hearts.”

50-year-old Harminder Mattu has been charged with murder.

He's been remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday 2nd April.
