West Midlands police have charged a man after a stabbing on Dudley Road in Birmingham on Friday night.

Reasha Geddes, 34, has been remanded to appear before magistrates in Birmingham today (26 August).

He’s been charged with wounding and possession of a knife.

The victim, in his 40s, was taken to hospital after receiving a stab injury when he was attacked just before 1.30am yesterday.

He remains there in a stable condition this evening.

West Midlands police say they are "aware of social media reports that he was with a baby in a pushchair at the time, but this not true. He was pushing a trolley of belongings. "

A video circulating on social media showing the incident forms part of the police's investigation, they say.

At this stage, detectives are not looking for anyone else as part of the investigation and it is being treated as an isolated incident.
