Man arrested for attempted murder in Shard End

A man has been arrested for attempted murder following disorder in Birmingham on Monday.
A 27-year-old man was found outside a shop with multiple stab wounds in Shard End -and police launched an investigation following the incident.
The man was taken to hospital, where he remains.
Officers arrested a 22-year-old man yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm following a search at his home address, where a live firearm was found along with ammunition.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Det Insp Tom Lyons, from the West Midlands Police Major Crime Unit, said: “We are continuing our investigation to establish the details around what happened.
“CCTV enquiries are ongoing and we are speaking with a number of witnesses.
“I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.
“We will have extra officers in the area to offer reassurance to the community.”
