Man arrested after X Bully attack in West Bromwich
It happened on Friday afternoon
A man's been arrested after another man was seriously injured when he was attacked by a dog in West Bromwich.
Officers were called to Ripon Drive at around 4.40pm on Friday (14 March).
A man in his 20s was found with serious injuries and remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The dog was Tasered by officers and died at the scene. The dog has since been confirmed to be an XL Bully.
Two other dogs seized from the address remain in police kennels.
Following the incident, a man aged 32 handed himself in to police this morning (17 March), and was arrested on suspicion of possessing a dog dangerously out of control, and on suspicion of possession of a banned breed of dog.
He remains in custody for questioning.
