People in Longbridge urged to avoid area as crews tackle fire

Firefighters in Birmingham are asking people to avoid an area in Longbridge as they work to contain a blaze there.

In several posts on Facebook, West Midlands Fire Service said it has 12 crews attending the fire on West Works Way.

The post said: "As a precaution, if you live or work nearby, please keep doors and windows closed. Avoid the area, where possible. Bristol Road South heading toward the city will be closed for some time."
