A 14-year-old has appeared in court, charged with the murder of 12-year-old Leo Ross who was stabbed to death on his walk home from school in Birmingham.

He has been remanded in custody over the stabbing which happened in a country park last Tuesday (21st Jan).

The defendant, who cannot be named due to his age, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court, sitting as a youth court with a closed public gallery.
