Investigation ongoing after multiple attacked in knife incident in Kingstanding
No-one was seriously injured in the incident, but enquiries are ongoing
Investigations are ongoing in Kingstanding after several people were attacked with a knife in the area on Saturday (March 22nd).
Reports were made to West Midlands Police after a man was seen brandishing a knife and attacking people in the area during the course of the day.
The incident took place in the Blenheim Way area of the town as officers arrived to apprehend the suspect.
Officers were able to detain a 32-year-old man following the attack, which the force says resulted in four people being slashed with a knife.
No-one was seriously injured in the incident, according to the force - but investigations are now ongoing into the attack.
CCTV footage of the area is being looked at to help officers in their investigations into the seemingly random attack.
The force was able to identify a potential fifth victim and have released images of the victim, though they admitted the pictures are not the clearest resolution.
Those who may recognise the man and who may be able to help officers in their enquiries are being urged to come forward as soon as possible.
Anyone who also might have information about the incident and could help the force in their investigation are being asked to make themselves known by calling 101 and quoting incident reference number 659 from March 22nd.
