Investigation launched after boy stabbed in Birmingham last night
It happened down Alum Rock Road.
West Midlands Police are investigating after a boy aged 15 was stabbed in Birmingham last night.
Officers were called by paramedics to Alum Rock Road near the junction with College Road just before 8.45pm.
The 15-year-old remains in hospital today in a critical but stable condition.
It’s believed he was attacked in the area of nearby Morris Park, which remains cordoned off this morning while enquiries continue.
Det Ch Insp Jim Mahon, from Birmingham Police, said: "This was a really serious attack on a boy, and officers from our Major Crime Unit are working flat out to establish who was responsible.
"CCTV and other enquiries are being carried out today, and we’ll have extra officers in the area today to offer reassurance.
"I’d urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has mobile phone, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch as soon as possible so we can arrest those responsible as quickly as possible."
Anyone with information has been asked to get in touch with the force.
