Dozens of firefighters are tackling a large fire in South Staffordshire

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue say 10 fire crews are currently on the scene near to the Orbital islands in Cannock.

Footage posted on social media site, X, shows large plumes of smoke with flames shooting into the air.

In a statement, Staffordshire Fire & Rescue, said: "We have a very large scale incident close to the orbital islands in Cannock. We have 10 fire engines in attendance supported by specialist equipment and officers."

Road closures are in place around the entire area, with a warning to expect delays on the roads.

People living nearby are told to keep their windows and doors shut.
