A man has been sentenced to 13 years and six months after admitting bringing millions of pounds worth of drugs up to the West Midlands from London.

West Midlands Police seized almost £4,000,000 worth of drugs from his car after arresting Conrad Byrd, 50, in Balsall Common in March.

Byrd, of Sidcup, Bexley in London - where more drugs were found following a search of his home - admitted to couriering drugs from London to the West Midlands for an organised crime group.

He pleaded guilty at Birmingham Crown Court.
