It'll be in place until Wednesday afternoon

Police are using powers to tackle anti-social behaviour in Sutton Coldfield town centre after a number of incidents over the last few days.

A Section 35 dispersal order has been put in place, which allows officers to move on people they believe are contributing to anti-social behaviour or crime.

The powers will be in place until the afternoon of Wednesday 19 February.

It comes as officers have been dealing with several reports of anti-social behaviour around the town centre, including graffiti, shop thefts, off road bikes, and people entering abandoned premises.

Officers are patrolling the areas, including one building which has featured in videos shared on social media.

That site has been secured and police are working with colleagues at Birmingham City Council to ensure it stays that way.

Extra officers also remain in the area to offer reassurance.
