Woman airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after Little Aston collision

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries in a collision in Little Aston.

The woman was hit by a van on the Aston Wood Golf Club course.

Emergency Services were called at around 10.26am to a collision between a van and a pedestrian.

Ambulances were called to Blake Street, Little Aston in Sutton Coldfield.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found a woman who was the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries in a critical condition.

“Ambulance staff quickly began administering advanced life support and advanced trauma care to her at the scene which continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was conveyed via air ambulance for further treatment.

“No further patients required treatment.”
