Birmingham City have been relegated from the Championship, and face next season in League One.
Despite Blues beating Norwich 1-0 at home in the final game of the season, scores elsewhere sealed their fate.
Blues will be in the third tier for the first time in almost 30 years.
Birmingham entered the fixture in the relegation zone, in 22nd place, three points behind Blackburn (19th) and Sheffield Wednesday (20th) and one point behind Plymouth (21st).
2023/24 season
It's been a rocky season for Blues, who began with John Eustace in charge.
A change in ownership at St Andrew’s then saw Wayne Rooney brought in to oversee the first-team.
But a poor run of results saw the former Manchester United star sacked in January, after just 15 games.
Tony Mowbray was then appointed, but medical reasons have kept him away from the game of late.
Former Blues boss Gary Rowett was brought in by the club to take temporary charge for the rest of the season.
Stadium plans
Despite their new position in League One, Birmingham City is not without ambition. Last month the club confirmed plans for a brand new stadium.
Owners Knighthead announced they had bought the former 48-acre Wheels motor-racing site in Bordesley Green, where they will plan to create a 'sports quarter'.
Club Chairman Tom Wagner said: "When we invested in Birmingham City, we made it very clear that we had an ambitious vision to transform the experience for our fans and make a positive contribution to the growth and vitality of the city of Birmingham.
"The plans for the Sports Quarter will bring global interest to our club and to Birmingham as a whole.
"It is going to transform the future of our men's, women's and academy teams, and the fortunes of the community that we call home."
