Reading drug-dealer jailed
He was found with eight wraps of crack cocaine and 22 wraps of heroin alongside cash and an iPhone
A man has been jailed for drug-dealing in Reading.
Henry Templeton, aged 20, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely crack cocaine and heroin, at Reading Crown Court on Friday (31 October).
At around 12.30pm on 31 March this year, officers detained Templeton for a search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act on Kategrove Lane.
During the search, officers discovered eight wraps of crack cocaine and 22 wraps of heroin alongside cash and an iPhone in Templeton’s possession, so they arrested him.
A search was conducted at Templeton’s home, where officers found drug paraphernalia that contained traces of cocaine and heroin.
Templeton was charged on 26 July.
Investigating officer PC Russel Morbey, of the Reading Proactive team, said: “I am pleased that the court has given Henry Templeton a significant prison sentence, which reflects the seriousness in which the supply of drugs is taken.
“Our team will proactively target and prosecute offenders, and our activity will be both visible and covert aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders involved in the supply of drugs.
