12-year-old boy robbed by "men in balaclavas" at Sheerwater Park

A 12-year-old boy has been robbed by two people wearing balaclavas at a Surrey park.

The child was playing with a friend in the car park of Sheerwater Park on Sunday afternoon (25 October) when they were approached.

As the boy tried to flee one of the suspects caught up with him on Blackmore Crescent, pulling him from his electric scooter and stealing it.

A 16-year-old and 19-year-old later arrested on suspicion of robbery have been released under investigation.

Appealing for witnesses Surrey Police said: "The victim and his friend were playing with the scooter in the car park of Sheerwater Park just before 4pm when they were approached by two men in balaclavas."

"The suspects are described as around 16-17 years old and around 5ft and 8in tall.

"They were both wearing balaclavas and one of them was purple."
