The Rolling Stones release re-issue of 1976 album 'Black and Blue'

It's been nearly five decades since The Rolling Stones first released their album 'Black and Blue', and now the legendary band have released a Super Deluxe Box Set, on several formats.
The album, which was originally released in 1976, was the band's 13th studio album and featured songs such as 'Hot Stuff', 'Hand of Fate', 'Fool to Cry', 'Memory Motel' and 'Melody'.
How was it announced?
Earlier this year the band announced their intention to release the Super Deluxe Box Set of 'Black and Blue' and that it will feature a six track disc of previously unreleased recordings.
Announcing the news on Instagram in September, the band shared a video captioned: 'THE ROLLING STONES BLACK AND BLUE - REMASTERED & REIMAGINED FOR 2025!
'Out 14 Nov 2025, the Super Deluxe Box Set is stacked with unreleased recordings, a Blu-ray of rare performances, a 100-page book ft. exclusive photographs, and a replica ’76 tour poster - available to preorder now!

What extras does the album include?
All versions of this re-issue will come with a Blu-ray disc, a 100-page hardback book, and a replica tour poster.
The Blu-ray disc will also offer a previously unreleased TV broadcast of the band's 1976 show at Les Abattoirs in Paris, and Dolby Atmos surround sound mixes of both the studio album and the live Earls Court concert.

Manic Street Preachers released their 15th studio album 'Critical Thinking' on 14th February. The band told Greatest Hits Radio's Ken Bruce the writing process behind the album, saying it wasn't "really particularly thematic".
Nicky said: "I think with this album it was a much more sort of inspirational record, where wherever we had the moment, we're lucky enough to go our own studio. If we have that moment of inspiration, we just pile in and we create as quickly and as practically as we can. So I don't think it's really particularly thematic, it's just the joy of still being able to create really at our age and you know. (We) still have people who want to us."
Bon Jovi - 'Slippery When Wet'

The album was originally released in August 1986 and was a commercial triumph shifting over 30 million copies globally including their massive hits 'You Give Love a Bad Name,' 'Livin' on a Prayer,' and 'Wanted Dead or Alive'.
Oasis - 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' 25th anniversary edition

David Bowie's ninth studio album 'Young Americans' has been re-issued to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The album includes the songs 'Fame' and the title track 'Young Americans', both Top 20 songs for David.
Tina Turner - 'Private Dancer' (40th anniversary)

Tina Turner's breakthrough album 'Private Dancer' released to celebrate the album's 40th anniversary. The album was originally released in 1984 and featured songs 'What's Love Got to Do with It', Let's Stay Together' and the iconic title track.
'Private Dancer' was nominated for album of the year at the 1985 Grammys, and 'What's Love Got To Do With It' and 'Better Be Good To Me' both won Grammy Awards.
Brandi Carlile and Elton John

Elton John and Brandi Carlile have released a collaborative album called 'Who Believes In Angels?', the duo also released the title track from the album. The album features 10 tracks and was written in just 20 days following Elton's final tour in 2023.

A new deluxe boxset called 'Power To The People' featuring 31 songs from John Lennon and Yoko Ono's two historic sets at the One To One Concert was released in October. The boxset includes nine CDs, three Blu Ray and a 204 page book, along with 92 bonus tracks.
It also includes two postcards, two sticker sheets, newsprint poster and a VIP envelope with replicas of two concert tickets, backstage pass and an aftershow pass.
Chrissie Hynde - 'Chrissie Hynde & Pals - Duets Special'

Speaking to Greatest Hits Radio, Jon Bon Jovi said: "You couldn't just pick anyone, because they had to bring something both unique, (and) have a singer's sensibility, because you have to tell these stories and be a coalition of the willing.

The mixes stay true to the original recordings, enhancing them with modern techniques as Justin explained: "The idea wasn't to try to make it sound like they would make it now, it was to make it sound like it would have then if they'd had better technology and more time."
