They may have split earlier this year, but former Love Island star Chris Hughes has proven there’s no bad blood between him and ex Jesy Nelson as he threw his support behind her latest venture in a recent social media post.

The Little Mix star appeared on our screens this past weekend alongside band mates Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock as they finally launched their BBC One talent show Little Mix: The Search, which was delayed by the Coronavirus pandemic.

And not only did Chris tune in, he even gave the show a shout out to his 2.1 million Instagram followers.

Sharing a video of himself watching the show, in which Little Mix put together six new bands in an attempt to find the next big thing to support them on tour, Chris wrote, 'Sick show this #LittleMixTheSearch.'

Chris recently spoke out about his split from Jesy for the first time during an appearance on Vicky Pattison’s podcast The Secret To.

After Jesy deleted all traces of Chris from her social media, he told Vicky, “It was tough. Time’s a healer, you don’t believe it when you’re in the moment.

“I don’t think I’ve ever felt heartbroken or anything. And then a couple of weeks down the line, you start thinking about it less and less. And the next thing, you’re good as gold."

He said, "You can actually focus on yourself, which is always a good thing. For me as well, I had a break up! So I needed a bit of focusing on my own stuff. It happened right at the start."

As Vicky said that she couldn't believe the pair had split, Chris admitted, "It was tough. Time's a healer, you don't believe it when you're in the moment.
