A Cash Register update for competition entrants

Shortly after the death of Her Majesty the Queen was announced, we suspended Cash Register. All valid entries made prior to the suspension will remain valid, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, when the Competition restarts on Thursday 22 September at 6am.

We appreciate that you may have questions and we hope that these FAQs will provide you with the information you are looking for.

The following information relates to the Cash Register competition, running on the following radio stations only:

CFM, Free Radio, Gem, Greatest Hits Radio, Hallam FM, Hits Radio, Metro Radio, Pulse 1, Radio City, Rock FM, Signal 1, TFM, The Wave, Viking FM, Wave 105, Lincs FM, Pirate FM.

When was the competition suspended?

The competition was suspended at 7pm on Thursday 8 September 2022. This means that entries were not accepted after this time.

If you tried to enter via SMS after this time, your entry will not have been entered into the draw, you will not have received a confirmation message and you will not have been charged £2, though your mobile network may have charged you your standard message rate (usually 10-15p).

If you tried to enter online, an error message will have been displayed to say that the competition was not open and your entry will not have been entered into the draw.

What happens to my entry if I entered before the competition was suspended?

After lines closed at 3pm on Thursday 8 September 2022, a draw was carried out in the normal way and a call made to the number selected at random. A winner was declared.

The next round opened at 3.10pm and entries were accepted up to the point at which the competition was suspended 7pm.

If you entered during this period, via SMS or online, your entry will automatically be included in the first available draw after the competition resumes. You do not need to enter again in order to be eligible but are able to do so if you would like to increase your chances.

When will the competition resume?

Cash Register will return on Thursday 22 September 2022.

What will the prize be?

The prize will be announced on participating radio stations regularly on the day that the competition resumes.

Could I still be called for the competition?

If you entered the competition during the period as set out above, via SMS or online, your entry will automatically be included in the first available draw after the competition resumes. You do not need to enter again in order to be eligible but are able to do so if you would like to increase your chances.

After lines close, one number will be selected at random and called in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the competition.
