Oasis share official 'Slide Away' recording from first Cardiff concert – listen

Oasis have shared official audio of their performance of ‘Slide Away’ at their first concert in 16 years at Cardiff Principality Stadium on Friday 4th July.

Sandwiched in between ‘Cast No Shadow’ and ‘Whatever’, ‘Definitely Maybe’ classic ‘Slide Away’ was the 16th song of the night in the Welsh capital, as Oasis kicked off their reunion tour in triumphant style.

Opening with the 70,000-strong crowd chanting “Oasis!”, the ‘Slide Away’ clip features Liam Gallagher taking on the lead vocals with his old brother Noel providing the harmonies.

Fans have been praising the live song, with one writing: ‘Listen to those two voices!! Together again finally! How we've waited and dreamed of this.’

Others have called for the Cardiff show to be immortalised with a live album.

Oasis continue their Live in ’25 tour with first of five homecoming shows at Manchester Heaton Park on Friday 11th July. A hot weather alert has been issued to fans attending the concerts this weekend.
