Sabrina Carpenter drops new single 'Manchild' with the music video
She's been teasing fans with a new release
Last updated 6th Jun 2025
Sabrina Carpenter's had a busy few years, releasing 2024 summer bangers 'Espresso', 'Please Please Please' and 'Taste' from her 'Short n' Sweet' album, as well as bagging two Grammys AND a BRIT Award — but just like her pop hit 'Busy Woman', the singer's not slowing down any time soon.
Teasing fans earlier this week with a cryptic clip of her thumbing a lift in a TEENY pair of denim shorts, Sabrina's now released her latest single 'Manchild'.
It follows a series of billboards appearing dotted along country roads in the US — each emblazoned with a mysterious word — sending fans into a frenzy.
Is there a music video?
Yes, there is! Sabrina dropped the music video at 3pm on Friday 6th June. The video attracted a lot of attention with more than 16K fans waiting for it to premiere on YouTube, all eager to see what was in store for them.
How did she announce it?
Fans spotted the words 'Manchild', 'Hey Men!', 'Amen!' and 'I Swear They Choose Me, I'm Not Choosing Them!' which goes hand-in-hand with the audio on Sabrina's new Insta vid — where we hear her say "Oh Boy".
She's now shared more information on Instagram, writing: 'this one’s about you!! “Manchild” is out this Thursday 6/5 8pm EST.' (sic). The strong male theme has led fans to question WHO she could be referring to. But it comes pretty soon after her alleged break-up with actor, Barry Keoghan.
Is Sabrina releasing new music?
Yes! It looks like 'Manchild' is the name of Sabrina's new single. There's no confirmation on whether she's dropping another studio album too though.
When was it be released?
'Manchild' dropped in the US at 8pm on Thursday 5th June, which meant 1am on Friday 6th June for us here in the UK. The music video arrived at 3pm on the same day in the UK.
What is it called?
Sabrina's new music is called 'Manchild'.
She dropped clues of a strong male theme - so maybe there's more to come, in preparation for her 7th studio album. 'Hey Men!', 'Amen!', 'I Swear They Choose Me, I'm Not Choosing Them!' and 'Oh Boy' could all be in the running for single (or album) names.
