The caption simply said: 'thank you. ❤️ enjoy my🫀#FAMILIA' and the singer spoke from the heart in the video clip, saying: "This album means so much to me. The journey of making it completely changed - and not to be dramatic but - saved my life.

"I started this album at a really sh-tty mental health point and the process of making it and being vulnerable and being honest about my experiences, and leaning on other people changed my life. I'm so proud of it and I'm so happy that you guys get to hear it now."

She also went on to thank the other artists that appear on the album, commenting: "This album really means so much to me and I'm so happy it's out. Cheers to all my collaborators that made it so."

How did Camila announce her third album?

Camila actually announced the album on her 25th birthday! Taking to social media on Thursday 3rd March 2022, Camila wrote in a now-deleted post: '2 facts: it’s my birthday and this album is my whole f–-----heart,' adding the release date to the end.

Did Camila tour the album?

She didn't tour it directly, but gave a handful of performances throughout 2022 to promote it - including a support slot on Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres World Tour' in September 2022. She later went on the 'Yours, C Tour' to support her fourth album, 'C,XOXO' between June and September 2025.

Who did she work with on it?

Camila co-wrote every track on the album apart from the title track, 'Familia'. She worked with Willow Smith on 'Psychofreak', and Ed Sheeran on 'Bam Bam', as well as María Becerra on 'Hasta los Dientes' and Yotuel on 'Lola'.

She also worked with producer Mike Sabath on a handful of tracks, who is well known for working with RAYE on her albums 'My 21st Century Blues' and 'This Music May Contain Hope'.

The meaning behind the album title

'Familia' means "family" in Spanish, Camila's first language. She opened up in various interviews while promoting the album about how her experience of the COVID-19 pandemic had influenced the album, telling Zane Lowe on Apple Music: "I think this was a chance for me to really consciously work on and invest in what I think makes me and human beings truly happy, which is your relationships and your connection to the people around you."

She added later in a social media post: "This whole album to me was inspired by two things: family and food. Your family by blood, but also your chosen family. Who you want to break bread with.

"Who you want to sit at the dinner table with, cook a meal for, get wine-drunk with, and dance in the living room with. To me, those are the moments that make me glad to be alive, those moments of collective joy and true vulnerability and connection with other people."
