Giving former contestants a second chance at love!
Last updated 13th Feb 2026
As we count down the weeks until series 13 of Married At First Australia lands here in the UK, Channel 4 bosses have delivered some VERY exciting news for MAFS fans...
Grab your best hat and get ready to strap in, because a brand new spin-off show called Second Marriage At First Sight is about to land, featuring former contestants from both MAFS UK and Australia!
The news of the all-stars style series was announced on social media by E4 on Thursday 12th February, alongside the caption: 'Love knows no limit, or time zone.
'Iconic faces from MAFS UK and Australia will risk it all for a second chance at love.
'Second Marriage at First Sight, coming soon on E4'.
What will happen on the show?
A synopsis teases: 'The experiment begins again in the UK; each couple will navigate cultural clashes and old wounds before they head to Australia to meet friends and family on the other side of the world and face the ultimate decision: who will consider uprooting their life for love?
'Will the Brits tempt their partners to trade beach life for Blighty, or will love pull them towards a fresh start under sunnier skies? For these second-timers, there's more at stake than ever before."
'These brides and grooms aren't just risking their hearts again, they're risking everything, their friendships, careers, and their homes, as one half of each couple takes a gamble on the possibility of a new life and new love on the other side of the world.'
Who will be on the show?
Although there's no word on which former contestants will take part just yet, we do know there will be four from the UK, and four from Australia.
Steve Handley, Channel 4’s head of reality entertainment, said in a statement: "These eight well-loved MAFS singles didn't find lasting love the first time, but they haven't given up – and neither have we.
"Everyone deserves a second chance at love, and this time they're saying 'I do' to a stranger on the other side of the world, risking absolutely everything for another shot at getting it right. I think it will be our greatest love story yet."
When does it start?
There's no official start date to put in your diary just yet, but E4 have teased the show is 'coming soon'.
How many episodes?
Second Marriage at First Sight will be made-up of 24 episodes.
How can I watch it?
Just like the original show, it will air on E4 and Channel 4's streaming platform.
Who are the experts?
There's no word on who the experts will be, but we imagine the likes of Mel Schilling, John Aiken, Paul C Brunson, Alessandra Rampolla and Charlene Douglas will be involved in some aspect.
