Leigh-Anne Pinnock has now released her debut solo song 'Don't Say Love'. The Little Mix singer, who has recently gone solo after the band started their hiatus back in May 2022, joined Hits UK with Sam Thompson on Hits Radio.

During the interview, the pair discussed Leigh-Anne going solo, what she'd say to her younger self, and when her debut album could be due for release.

"Honestly, it's nerve-racking," she explained, when asked about going solo. "I don't feel like I've touched the ground. My head is... it's just in the clouds, it's such a surreal moment and such a special moment. I don't have the words for you Sam!"

Sam then asked about Leigh-Anne's younger self, which she often talks about, and asked if she would be "mad proud".

"I think my younger self would be hella proud," she revealed. "My younger self always saw herself on selling out tours and she just wanted to be this massive pop star, and then I got put into this incredible group."

She continued: "I got to have all of this experience under my belt, and had the best time of my life, and now I get to do it on my own, and make that little girl proud, and the good thing is, I have all of that experience."

When is Leigh-Anne Pinnock's debut album out?

Although Leigh-Anne has only just released her first solo song, Sam wanted to know if there was a solo album on the horizon and Leigh-Anne made everyone very happy when she said: "100%".

She went on to explain: "I've come from that background, d'you know, like being an album artist, so creating bodies of work, that's what I was really excited to do. But it actually happened more quickly that people thought. Everything's really come together really well, and hopefully we'll have an album out early next year... Hopefully!"

We can hear Leigh-Anne's fans rejoicing! 🙌

Although not much else is known about Leigh-Anne's album she did tease loads of collabs, speaking to our sister station KISS FM UK, she said: "Everyone loves a collab, I don't think people are ready for the next single..." 👀
