Following acts such as Olly Alexander, Mae Muller and Sam Ryder, who have all represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest over recent years, 2025 saw the turn of girl band Remember Monday, with their track 'What the Hell Just Happened?'

Despite giving an excellent performance at the Eurovision final in Basel, Switzerland on 17th May, Remember Monday finished in 19th place, but the girls aren't letting that dampen their spirits, as they've now announced a UK tour! Here's everything you need to know about the band.

Who are Remember Monday?

Remember Monday are a country pop girl band made up of three members - Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele, who formed the band in 2013 after meeting at sixth form.

The band have released seven singles including 'Hysterical Women', 'Drive' and 'Nothing Nice To Say'. Their version of 'Fat Bottomed Girls' has had more than 4.5 million views on YouTube.

In 2023, the girls left their jobs to pursue their music career, and in 2025, they were announced as the UK's Eurovision act, with their catchy pop single 'What the Hell Just Happened?'.

Are they in the West End?

Yes, all three members of Remember Monday have performed in various musical theatre shows in the West End and beyond.

Lauren appeared as Cinderella, as well as Miss Honey in the West End’s Matilda, and Jane Seymour in Six.

Charlotte actually made her West End debut at the age of just 10, playing the role of Jane Banks in Mary Poppins. The talented singer is now trained as a professional choreographer, vocal coach and dance teacher. She's also appeared in shows such as The Wizard of Oz, High School Musical and Shrek.

Holly-Anne is also no stranger to the stage, having won a Disney Channel UK competition called My Camp Rock in 2009. She's also appeared in shows such as Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera.

How old are they?

Charlotte Steele is 31.

Holly-Anne Hull is 30.

Lauren Byrne is 30.

How did they do at Eurovision?

Following their performance during the Eurovision Song Contest live final on Saturday 17th May, fans were optimistic that the UK would place on the left hand side of the leaderboard, something that's not been achieved since Sam Ryder back in 2022.

After all 26 countries performed, things looked up for Remember Monday, with the band finishing 10th following the Jury vote.

However, in a huge shock, Remember Monday unfortunately received ZERO points from the public vote, meaning they placed 19th out of 26th overall.

Despite the disappointment, the girls took to social media to thank fans for their support, saying: 'TEAM UK 🇬🇧❤️ What in the HELL just happened…

'We truly don’t have the words to describe how grateful we are!

'To our incredible team, we can’t imagine not seeing you all every single day, thank you for making this the best experience of our lives!

'To the Eurovision community, you will always hold a very very special place in our hearts, thank you for showing us so much love and support and making our dreams come true.

'We love you all SO MUCH'. (sic)

When the band were announced as the UK's act back in March, Lauren, Holly-Anne and Charlotte expressed their excitement at being the first girl band to represent the UK since 1999.

They said: “What The Hell Just Happened is exactly how we’re feeling right now! It’s all very surreal; our friendship goes so far back, and we definitely never imagined that we’d be doing anything like this. When you’re a kid and people ask you what you want to be when you grow up, an absolute classic is “I wanna be a pop star”, so the fact that we’re getting the chance to live that dream as three best friends is just wild.

"We’re going to be the first girlband to represent the UK since 1999, which feels like such a crazy honour. We’re going to bring loads of fun, energy and hopefully do something that you won’t have seen before on the Eurovision stage….We honestly can’t wait to experience this with all of the other incredible artists from around the world, and hopefully make everyone back at home feel proud! This is really the music World Cup and we’ll do our best to bring it home!”

Were they on The Voice?

Yes! Remember Monday auditioned for the 2019 series of ITV talent show The Voice UK. The band performed a cover of Seal's 'Kiss From A Rose', resulting in all four judges turning around for them.

The girls chose American singer Jennifer Hudson to guide them, going on to win their Battle round against fellow contestant Kieron Smith. However, after performing an original song called 'Jailbreaker', the band were knocked out during the Knockout stages.
