Here's who is in the running for the next James Bond song
There are plenty of names doing the rounds
As fans of James Bond will know, the most recent film in the franchise, No Time To Die, hit cinemas back in 2021. Since THAT bombshell ending, we've all been thinking forwards to the next film - from who will play 007, to who will sing the title track.
When it comes to the coveted soundtrack, rumours have been well and truly swirling for quite some time, and there are pretty big shoes to fill after Billie Eilish's haunting performance on 'No Time To Die'.
Is Sam Fender doing the next James Bond title track?
With his third studio album bagging the Number 1 spot, adding his third BRIT Award to the shelf AND winning the prestigious Mercury Prize for his third album 'People Watching', there's no denying that Geordie legend Sam Fender is all the rage right now.
With his 2025 stadium tour behind him now, naturally, many fans are crying out for the singer to perform the next title track for the upcoming Bond film - with his odds officially slashed. Of course, we don't yet know anything about the next movie in the series, but it's safe to say that Sam would go down well.
Who is the favourite to sing the next Bond theme song?
In the past, we've had HUGE names such as Adele, Sam Smith and Billie Eilish bring us incredible theme songs - 'Skyfall', 'Writing's On The Wall' and 'No Time To Die' - and following 'Houdini' icon Dua Lipa topping the rumoured list last year, Sam is now heading up to take the odds crown, now sitting at 9/4 with Betfred.
According to the bookmaker, betting on which music icon will take on the honourable task still favours 'Escapism' singer RAYE, who sits top at 8/11, followed by Sam.
Other names listed by Betfred include 'Good Luck, Babe!' megastar Chappell Roan, who saw a soar in popularity throughout 2024 - and took 2025 by storm, too. Sitting at 11/4, Chappell is then followed by Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, then Taylor Swift.
Although no details about the next Bond film have been confirmed just yet, we've gathered together a list of the artists rumoured to be singing the next title track - as well as a few that we just think would be perfect!
James Bond rumours: Who will sing the next theme song?
Sam Fender
After his debut album 'Hypersonic Missiles' flew to the Number 1 spot back in 2019, Sam Fender hasn't failed to impress us since. Releasing his second album 'Seventeen Going Under' in October 2021, and his Mercury Prize-winning third record 'People Watching' in February 2025, he now has three Number 1s under his belt. With a strong collection of awards to go with it, it's not surprise that Sam is one of the favourites to perform the next Bond track. As of 2025, Sam's Betfred odds sat at 9/4.
RAYE
With such a gorgeous vocal talent, RAYE is actually a hugely talented songwriter too - so her potential involvement in the next James Bond film would make perfect sense. It sounds as though RAYE herself is up for it as well, apparently revealing in October 2025: "Would I do it? Uhhhh, yeah, obviously. I'm available. Call me up, send me an email, DM, text, however you'd like to approach me... The answer is yes."
Dua Lipa
With worldwide hits such as 'One Kiss' and 'Dance The Night', and the roaring success of her more recent tracks like 'Houdini' and 'Training Season', it comes as no surprise that fans are desperate to hear Dua Lipa perform a Bond track. With sultry vocals and a clear talent for mastering various genres, there's no denying that Dua would make an incredible Bond theme. As of 2025, Dua's odds were 4/1.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has been releasing hits since she was a teenager, and throughout her fruitful career has provided us with huge tracks such as 'Wrecking Ball', 'Midnight Sky', 'Prisoner' and 'Mother's Daughter'. Following the release of her Grammy Award-winning track 'Flowers', the singer has been lined up as one of the bookies' favourites to bag the next Bond theme. As of 2025, her odds were at 25/1.
Sabrina Carpenter
Shooting to superstardom with hit songs like 'Nonsense', 'Feather', 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please', Sabrina Carpenter quickly became a household name, with plenty of fans keen to hear her take on the honourable role of singing the next Bond theme.
Lana Del Rey
Known for incredible songs such as 'Summertime Sadness', 'National Anthem' and 'Video Games', Lana's soothing and mysterious voice would be perfect for a James Bond theme song. As of 2025, Lana's odds were at 3/1.
Chappell Roan
'Good Luck, Babe' and 'Pink Pony Club' megastar Chappell Roan dominated the charts in 2024, and with new music and big plans for 2025 - including her iconic Grammy Awards performance - it's no surprise that the singer has topped the rumoured list for the honourable role of singing the next Bond theme. As of 2025, Chappell's odds sat at 11/4 - making her the third most popular contender, at the time.
Lorde
Huge hits such as 'Royals' and 'Tennis Court' put Lorde on the map, as well as the epic release of her 2021 album 'Solar Power'. With her storming the charts with her Charli XCX collab in 2024, it's clear she isn't slowing down any time soon. As of 2025, Lorde's odds for singing the next Bond theme were 25/1.
Lewis Capaldi
Lewis Capaldi topped the charts with his incredible second album, the follow-up from his debut 'Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent' in 2019 which hit the Number 1 spot. Maybe he can get his creative juices flowing and fit some time in for a quick Bond theme? As of 2025, his odds were at 16/1.
Elton John
Surprisingly enough, the legendary Sir Elton John has never sang a James Bond theme song. Could the next Bond film be the 'Rocketman' singer's time to shine?
Harry Styles
Since leaving his X Factor formed band One Direction, Harry Styles has gone from one success to another - releasing huge singles such as 'Golden', 'Sign of the Times' and 'Adore You', as well as the award-winning 'Watermelon Sugar'. We couldn't think of anything better than a Bond theme from this chap. As of 2025, his Betfred odds were reported at 20/1.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is a force to be reckoned with, releasing her highly-anticipated album 'Mayhem' in March 2025, just months after her Joker: Folie à Deux companion album 'Harlequin' - a film she starred in, by the way. It's clear this singer/songwriter/actress' talents are pretty much endless - and her voice would undeniably lend itself to a new Bond track. As of 2025, Lady Gaga's Betfred odds sat fairly high at 4/1.
Taylor Swift
The list of iconic tracks released by Taylor Swift is endless - and now that the singer is re-recording and releasing her classics, why not throw a Bond theme song in there?! As of 2025, Taylor's odds were 12/1.
Beyoncé
Aah - the age old dream. A popular contender for the Bond theme pretty much every time round, maybe we'll finally hear Beyoncé sing the title track for the next film. Beyoncé's odds sat at 20/1 in 2025.
Ellie Goulding
In November 2023, it was revealed that Ellie Goulding was one of the favourites to voice the upcoming theme song for the next Bond film, with her odds at the time sitting at 4/1.
Ed Sheeran
A stalwart of the pop music genre, we've heard huge tunes from Ed Sheeran time and time again. With legendary - and record-breaking - tunes such as 'Shape Of You' and 'Perfect' under his belt, why not add a Bond theme to his repertoire too? It appears that Ed is ready and rearing to go, revealing on The Late Late Show back in 2017: "I've had a theme tune written for about three years. I'm not going to say (the title) because someone might steal it, but it's good." As of 2025, Ed's odds were 20/1.
Lil Nas X
Hey, never say never! After the roaring success of Lil Nas X's tracks 'Old Town Road' and 'Panini', as well as his huge debut album 'MONTERO', his odds did in fact sit at 33/1 in 2025 - despite many thinking Lil Nas X may be a Bond theme wildcard.
Duran Duran
Could 'Girls On Film' legends Duran Duran also be in the running? The band appeared on This Morning and gushed over Billie Eilish and her work on 'No Time To Die', admitting that they would love to record the next Bond theme, having already performed for the 14th James Bond film, A View to a Kill.
