Davina McCall's dating show My Mum, Your Dad returned to our screens last year, following the first series which created reality TV super couple Roger and Janey! The second series featured middle-aged singletons such as Clare, Maria, Jenny, Vicky, Christian, Danny, David and Chris all nominated by their teenage children.

Viewers witnessed Vicky Davies and David McLeod find a connection in the retreat, with the pair deciding to try things out in the real world once filming had finished. However, rumours were rife earlier this year that Vicky and David's romance had ended, and now the pair have confirmed the sad news.

Posting a video montage of pictures from their reunion, Vicky wrote on Instagram: 'Lush catching up with @david_dee_mcleod this weekend. We may not have ended up as a couple, though we have something just as special and strong — a lasting friendship and bond , shared laughter and being in each others lives 🩶 Thank you to @tiana.mcleod and @tegan.vincent.cooke for babysitting little man #somethingspecial #teamwork #somuchlove'. Fans and friends of the pair were quick to comment. One wrote: 'I love how honest you've been about your friendship and not a relationship......you're great together as friends x'. (sic)

Another added: 'Oh I’m a lil gutted it’s not romantic but agree friendships are forever so I guess that’s better ❤️❤️❤️', with a third writing: 'It is a shame you're not together anymore, you were a lovely couple. Glad you are still good friends though. 🥰🥰'. (sic)

News that the couple had split arrived at the beginning of the month, when a source close to the pair told Mail Online: "They tried to make a real go of it but it wasn't to be. Both Vicky and David have busy lives and commitments such as family and work, coupled with the distance it was hard to see each other.

"They appreciate the impact they made on each other's lives and will always share a special bond."

Although Vicky and David have split, one couple still going strong for the second series is Jenny Francis and Danny Wright. The happy couple often post loved-up photos together on social media.

Back in February, Jenny wrote: 'Saying goodbye to the weekend it’s flown in the blink of an eye! Already missing the belly laughs and the memories. Can’t wait to plan our next adventures. You’re all I need @danny____wright ✨💕'. (sic)

Check out which couples are still together below:

Are Jenny and Danny still together?

Danny was nominated by his son Ellis for the show, and despite not immediately finding a connection with Jenny, things ramped up for the pair during the second week. The couple enjoyed a number of dates within the retreat and even spent time in the secret snug room, where they cut off the live feed from their children watching! Jenny and Danny chose to stay at the retreat until the end, enjoying their final date together and having dinner together with their sons, Ellis and Malachi - who both gave their blessing.

At the end of the final episode, Jenny and Danny were still together two months on from leaving the retreat, with the pair looking very loved-up! The official My Mum, Your Dad Instagram page then shared this official photo of the pair on Saturday 28th September, with the caption: 'A little update: it's been five months since the retreat and these two are still together'.

On 5th May 2026, Jenny shared on Instagram that they'd celebrated their two-year anniversary, posting a series of snaps - including recent ones and a couple from their first date on the show! She wrote: '2 years ago we went on our first date — neither of us knew the rules of boules, but we pretended anyway. Somehow a dating TV show actually worked and here we are. A little older, a little wiser, and very aware we've found something rare. We've done long distance, blended families, real‑life chaos and a kitchen renovation that nearly finished us off… and we still choose each other. Here's to us loving us and whatever comes next ❤️💫.' Are Vicky and David still together?

Vicky was nominated by her daughter Angharad for the show, and it's safe to say she was popular with the men in the first few days! Despite spending the early days with Christian, Vicky made her feelings clear for David, and the pair enjoyed getting to know each other within the retreat. Although there were a couple of hiccups and initial reservations for the pair, they decided to stay in the retreat until the end, enjoying their final date in a hot air balloon. They then had dinner with their children Angharad and Tiana, who both gave their blessing.

Are Vicky and David still together?
At the end of the final episode, Vicky and David were still together two months on from leaving the retreat, enjoying spending more time with each other. Although the pair didn't immediately reveal if they were still together once the series ended, in mid-October Vicky uploaded a cute photo alongside David and a child, writing: 'Sunday with 🍨 and fun 🥰 #familytime #icecream #happinessrightthere'. (sic) Vicky also thanked fans in the comments who admitted they were buzzing they were still together. The pair updated fans in early 2025 to confirm things were still going well, however just months later in April, they announced they'd split romantically and were just good friends.

They proved they were still good pals in November 2025 when Vicky shared a few snaps on Instagram with her children, as David commented: 'Beautiful ❤️ I luv it when a photo makes me smile 😃,' then Vicky replied: 'Thanks you my lush bug ❤️❤️xxx.' (sic)

Are Steph and Paul still together?

Steph and Paul were both late arrivals into the retreat, with Paul returning following an appearance during the first series. Despite Steph being popular with a number of men, including Christian and Chris, it was Paul she chose to explore things further with, as the couple decided to stay in the retreat until the final episode. However, during their final date, the couple agreed they were better off as friends, and their children Ava and Mazey came to collect them.

No, Steph and Pail left the retreat together as friends.

Meanwhile, despite the show's popularity, it's understood ITV/STV bosses have decided to shelve My Mum, Your Dad for the time being.

Reports in the press in January suggested the show is struggling for male applicants, meaning bosses have made the decision to put series three on hold. An ITV source said at the time: "There are currently no plans for a new series in 2025 owing to other priorities in our schedule, but we may revisit the show at some point beyond that."

My Mum, Your Dad is available to watch on ITVX and STV Player now.
