We can't quite believe we are saying this, but after what has potentially been the best ever series of Love Island, the show will come to an end next week, with the final set to take place on Monday 1st August.

However, although we've witnessed classic challenges such as 'Movie Night' and the 'Talent Show', which aired on Monday 25th July, fans of the ITV2 show have been calling out for producers to bring back some more of the iconic challenges from past years.

As fans will know, this year's series didn't include the infamous 'Postcards' during Casa Amor following complaints in previous series, and now fans are worried they've pulled the plug on the 'Twitter and Headlines Reactions' task.

With only a week left, viewers took to Twitter to express their anger that the infamous 'Baby Challenge' hasn't taken place yet, which sees the Islanders turn into parents for a day, with dolls.

One wrote: 'Why are we getting a talent show?? I want the twitter challenge, the baby challenge, the FUN challenges #loveisland'. (sic)

Another added: '5 days left and we still haven't had the twitter challenge, the babies or meet the parents. Love island move your arses, these make the best tv!! #LoveIsland'. (sic)

A third exclaimed: 'No twitter challenge? No babies? No families? And we are in the last week? This season had so much potential yet the producers FAILED to deliver #LoveIsland'. (sic)

A fourth then added: 'last week of love island and they have to fit in the twitter challenge, headline challenge, baby challenge, meet the parents, final dates, declarations of love and salsa dance training how’s this going to work? #LoveIsland' (sic)

Although it looks like the 'Twitter and Headline' challenge could have once again been scrapped, host Laura Whitmore delivered the good news on Aftersun that the 'Baby Challenge' would be taking place this week.

She said: "We're about to head into the last week, it's a big one. I can exclusively reveal that the baby challenge is back."

When will the Baby Challenge happen on Love Island?

Love Island has since confirmed that the Baby Challenge will be shown on Wednesday 27th, taking to Instagram to share a video with the caption: 'Get ready for some new(born) arrivals tonight… 👶'

We can't wait to watch it!

Tasha Ghouri replies: "Oh my god it’d be like, ‘This is where I met your dad!’"
