Miss Piggy reveals the REAL reason behind Kermit The Frog split
Find out why they called it a day
Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past few months, you’ll be well aware of the earth-shattering news that Miss Piggy and Kermit The Frog are no longer an item after three decades of dating.
Following the seismic split news in August, just when we thought love was truly dead earlier this month it emerged that lethario Kermit was already dating a younger and leaner hog called Denise.
Now, in their first interview since their split, last night Kermit and Miss Piggy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live where they revealed the reasons behind their heart-breaking split.
Sitting on separate sofas for the duration of the tense interview, of course, the notoriously bossy and domineering Miss Piggy explained they split when Kermit abandoned his chores.
Apparently it was when he didn’t do "the usual laundry list, put the lid down, closing the refrigerator door, not doing the dishes while taking a bath in the sink."
Asked about his new beau, Kermit simply told Jimmy “she’s old enough”, while Miss Piggy confirmed she has joined the dating app Tinder in her quest for new love.
Momentous times.
At the time of their split, Kermit and Miss Piggy released a statement saying: "After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship.
"We will continue to work together on television. Our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al.
"This is our only comment on this private matter...unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding."
