Woman killed in Ayrshire car crash at weekend is named

37 year old Kirsty McBryde died in a two car collision on Saturday afternoon.

Police continue to make enquiries into the incident and are appealing for witnesses.

Kirsty McBryde's Seat Ibiza collided with another car driven by a 57 year old man on the A736 near Burnhouse.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with leg injuries and police are asking anyone who saw the crash to get in touch with them.

Enquiries are continuing into the cause and Sergeant Ian Thornton of the Divisional Road Policing Unit based in Irvine is appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone who may have seen the vehicles being driven prior to the collision.
