A man's been treated in hospital following a serious assault in Troon.
A man's been treated in hospital following a serious assault in Troon.
The 28-year-old was attacked after approaching a group of youths who were causing a disturbance in Brown Avenue.
He was taken to Ayr hospital where he was treated for a facial injury.
The group responsible were all wearing dark coloured clothing and were last seen running towards a lane leading to Gillies Street.
Police say enquiries are continuing and are appealing for anyone with any information that could help to contact them on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously.
