Teenager Assaulted by 3 men in Kilwinning

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision

Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old boy was seriously assaulted by 3 men.

The teenager was walking along St Winning’s Road at around 10.30pm when he was confronted by a group of men near to St Winnings Primary School and was seriously assaulted.

He was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injury.

Three men are sought in connection with this assault and they are described as: suspect One, 30 – 40 years of age, around 5 ft. 3 inches in height, bald with a slim build and wearing glasses.

Suspect Two – 20-30 years of age, around 6 ft. 2 inches in height, well built, wearing a black beanie hat and tracksuit top.

Suspect Three – around 5 ft. 9 inches in height, slim build with a dark coloured hoody.

Detective Sergeant John Deans said: “These three men are involved in the assault of a young boy who has been left badly injured in the attack. It’s imperative we find those involved – they clearly have no qualms about attacking children and I’m appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident to contact us. You may know who the men are, or you may have heard some information about the incident, please do get in touch.”
